These chapters include some of the most beautiful and memorable lines in the book: “when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold,” and “the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom.” We hear Job reflect on the mystery of God’s ways, the hiddenness of wisdom, the fleeting prosperity of the wicked, and his own desire to be heard.
