In this Sleepy Scriptures One-Year Bible episode, we conclude the book of Isaiah with chapters 64 through 66 and begin the book of Jeremiah with chapters 1 through 4, read from the King James Version.
Isaiah closes with a prayer for God to reveal His power, a humble confession that we are the clay and the Lord is our potter, and a glorious promise of new heavens and a new earth. The Lord speaks of comfort, restoration, judgment, and a future in which all flesh will come to worship before Him.
We then meet Jeremiah, whom God knew and appointed before his birth. Though the young prophet feels unprepared, the Lord assures him: “Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee.” Jeremiah is given the difficult task of calling Judah away from forsaking the fountain of living waters and back to the God they have forgotten.
Settle in with gentle narration, soothing music, and peaceful visuals as Isaiah’s final vision gives way to Jeremiah’s call—a journey through divine compassion, human wandering, repentance, and the enduring invitation to return to the Lord.
